In this class we will look at how to write down a goal in a way that can be analysed to check how feasible it is and whether it is a worthwhile thing to do. We will explain how the ‘SMART’ acronym is used to ensure the goal is written in such a way that it stands a very good chance of success. We will also consider how to break down large and difficult goals into smaller more manageable chunks, and then turn the subsequent actions and tasks into a time phased plan for monitoring purposes.
