معلومات إضافية
We are so excited about the upcoming workshop Puppeteering for TV and Film on Monday, November 18th from 7-9 pm ET. This workshop will be presented LIVE at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, Georgia--and we welcome participants to join into this live session via webinar, too! The live webinar is limited to 20 participants, but this session will be available as a recording after the live event.
As you read in the program description on the Center's website, you will note that this workshop will have both a live, on-site audience and a live, virtual audience (joining us through Learn It Live). Thom Stanley will share his unique experience with both audiences by working hands-on with the on-site participants and taking questions from the virtual audience. Virtual participants may choose to have with them as they enjoy the webinar a moving mouth hand puppet to work on the techniques they observe during the individual and/or group instruction (suggested, but certainly not required). All communication with the onsite audience will be through the chat window (no video or audio communication possible from virtual audience).
During the recent, extensive workshop tech, it became apparent that the lip sync instruction may be less than ideal for our virtual participants due to the webinar platform's video latency (meaning that there will be a small delay between voice and puppet mouth movement). Despite this small quirk, we are confident that virtual participants will gain some insightful knowledge during this section of the program.
PLEASE ALSO NOTE: The webinar platform allows for Standard Definition video only. Depending on your connection (please use a direct Ethernet connection and not wireless to make the best-possible connection), the video may be less than perfect at times. The audio may also experience minor latency depending on your bandwidth. This is a platform designed for low-bandwidth to encourage accessibility by as many people as possible around the world.
Again, we are confident that you, as a virtual participant, will gain a great deal from this wonderful webinar-- just wanted you to be aware of any quirks you might experience during the session so you will not spend time trying to address technical issues that may be inherent in this particular presentation.
